Resurrecting Real estate has gained a well–deserved reputation as one of Chicago's top real estate brokerages. We couldn’t have done this without our dedicated and professional team. We want you to know who you’ll be talking to and dealing with, so here are some introductions.
Rosario Terracciano, Managing Broker, CEO -
Rosario started his career in Real Estate in 2003, when he left the financial industry and partnered with a local Real Estate Broker who specialized in bank owned Real Estate.
From 2003 through 2005 focused on representing investors and developers on the acquisition of distressed properties via Chicago’s Fast Track Program. He worked with developers in stabilizing several properties with multiple building court violations and liens, and then went on to begin renovating and rehabbing distressed properties in low income areas on the Southside of Chicago. He rented those renovated properties to families in need via Chicago's Housing Voucher Program.
From 2006 - 2009, Rosario began learning and building on to his REO knowledge along with cultivating a vast network of Real Estate Professionals. During this period, he continued to represent buyers in the acquisition of REO properties as well as began building relationships with Brokers, Servicers, Lenders and Asset Managers that who were involved in the disposition of bank Real Estate assets.
When the recession started in 2008, Rosario saw an opportunity to shift his focus from purchasing foreclosed assets to representing institutional clients who were selling these same foreclosed real estate assets. His knowledge and experience in the market in the years prior to 2009 where the driving force behind him launching Resurrecting Real Estate.
Jeffrey Kershner, Broker, COO and Managing Director -
Jeffrey joined Resurrecting Real Estate to lead the investment real estate team. Most recently, Jeff served as Vice President of Operations and Director, Investment Management at Invitation Homes for the Chicago and Minnesota markets. Invitation Homes is the national leader in single family rental homes with nearly 50,000 units owned. In his role with Invitation Homes, Jeff personally directed the acquisition of more than 4,000 residential units in his markets. As the leader of the Midwest markets, he was responsible for all phases of the business including acquisitions, rehab, leasing, and portfolio management.
Jeff comes to Resurrecting Real Estate with a diverse background in investment real estate, brokerage, development, homebuilding and design. Prior to joining Invitation Homes, Jeff was the owner of an innovative rental brokerage firm in the Chicago suburbs that placed tenants in single family homes and privately owned multifamily units. He also worked as Executive Vice President of Silverleaf Homes which specialized in new home construction, additions, renovations, and commercial development. In this role, Jeff was responsible for the operations of the company including identifying and acquiring development sites, creating product, purchasing materials and managing subcontractors.
Prior to launching his own companies, Jeff was the Director of Design at a major regional home builder in the Chicago Market. His real estate career began as an Associate for OKW Architects where he oversaw single and multi-family residential projects for the firm.
Jeff studied Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Accounting and Finance at Southern New Hampshire University.

Residential Single Family – Our residential single family services connect buyers with sellers every day, and we do it with professionalism and a total dedication to our clients. This property type is the majority of our market transactions, but by far not the only one in which we have expertise.
Condominiums – While condominiums are residential, they’re a very different market focus, and we have years of experience in evaluating condos and helping buyers and sellers to cope with the special financing and homeowner concerns for this property type.
Multi–family – Investors are great clients for resurrecting real estate. Multi–family properties are a very unique market. The detailed return on investment and valuation calculations investors need to evaluate properties for rental are second nature to us.
Vacant Land – Land is a very special property class. It’s relatively easy to show a gourmet cook a wonderful commercial kitchen in a home and see their eyes light up. It’s more of a challenge to help a buyer or seller to realize the potential in a piece of land.
